Palhano was designed in a way that its letterforms could be replicated on signfronts, using metal sheets and rebars that give the typeface its monolinear structure and angular strokes. Beyond its use in digital communications and signage, the fonts work as a sort of ‘skeleton’, allowing it to be replicated with different materials and techniques, in the hands of different local craftspeople.
